Birthday Party

Hayden's 2nd Birthday party was Saturday, May 28th at our house. We had such a great time and were so thankful for family. For Hayden's party, we kept it simple with fun outdoor items for the kiddos to play with and the decorations were bright colors - purple, red, yellow, green, blue, etc. Everything was polka dots and stripes.

For Hayden's birthday we got her a playground set, so that is what I decided to go with for her invitations, they were adorable. And the very talented lady who made Hayden's cake designed it with the colors and playset - it was amazing and tasted awesome too.

Here are a few of the decorations...

Hayden's birthday wreath, that I made.

And now for a few action shots of the party!

In the bouncy jumper

And on the new playset

Present time had to come before we ate because Hayden was pitching a fit...

With Nan and Papa

With Gram and Pap

And finally with Mommy and Daddy, playing with new toys

Thanks everyone for making Hayden's birthday so much fun.

Catching Up

I apologize for not posting anything sooner. It seems as though we have been so busy and I honestly have not had a free moment to post anything. But Hayden is now officially two and we had a great time at the birthday party.

I will post a few pictures of the days leading up to her actually turning two, but because it has been a couple of weeks since I have blogged I can't remember which days are which.

But here are a few of my favorites from those last few days of her being a one year old.

After bath time Hayden insisted on putting every single bow she could find in her hair and then "had" to show Daddy how pretty!

Following in Ariel's footsteps on her graduation day.

staying safe from the soccer ball!

She loves my hat, funny girl.

I have so many photos of her birthday party and I can't wait to share them with you, but I have to organize them first.

Atlanta Weekend

A couple of weeks ago, Brian and I took off for two days in Atlanta. We planned this awhile back as part of our two weekend get-away that also included our trip to the beach earlier this year.

We had originally decided to take a four day big trip away somewhere, but after weighing the costs we opted to stay close to home and separate the trip into two different ones.

We had a great time in Atlanta, we didn't do too much, but that was the point. On the first night, we checked into our hotel and went to dinner at a Tapas restuarant called Twist. The food was awesome, but we had to wait close to an hour before getting a table, but it was well worth the wait. I even got Brian to eat sushi with me and amazingly enough he really liked it!

On Saturday we got up and went downtown and had an early lunch at Hard Rock. I love Hard Rock Cafe's and have eaten at several different ones, this was the first time Brian had been to one and he really liked it too.

After we had lunch we made the track to Turner Field for a Braves Game. They played the Phillies and they Won. We had so much fun! That evening we decided on a early dinner out, Mexican and the came back to the room and watched a movie on TV. What a great weekend.

We had really good seats, as you can see.

And on our way back home!

Photos of the Day

Still playing catch up around here, so I have a few more photos of the day for Hayden, minus two days. Unfortunately I completely forgot to take one on Friday and I was out of town on Saturday.

This past Tuesday was 17 Days until Hayden turns 2:

Hayden now knows how to open the pantry - uh oh!

16 Days to go:

Drinking Milk and Watching Care Bears, our new favorite movie!

15 Days to Go and we attended Reagan's Pre-School Graduation. Hayden and Gracen had a ball and were really very well behaved. Regean looked adoreable, as you can see.

I missed Day 14 and Day 13, which is driving me nuts - but I will get over it.

So here is Hayden today - 12 Days until she turns 2:

I know you can't really see the photo very well, so I may have another one tomorrow, but this is us outside and doing what Hayden loves the best - feeding Maggie! She is grabbing a handful of treats to give her.

Several Days

It has been several days since I have posted so I need to get caught up on the countdown until Hayden's bithday.

22 Days until Hayden turns 2:

Oh to be a child again - can't you just see how much fun she was having, so happy - not a care in the world. I love this, it makes me a very happy Momma!

21 Days until Hayden turns 2:

I know I have already done a band-aid picture, but I was running around like crazy on Friday and this was the only picture I remembered to take. We are definately in a band-aid stage right now. Everything needs a band-aid! And no I promise she didn't really need any of them.

20 Days:

This is not really the best picture of either of the girls, but if you could have seen these two on Saturday - they were adorable and were just a talking to each other while eating. Saturday was Gracen's 2nd birthday party and we had a blast! She is 3 weeks older than Hayden, so we get to do it all over again soon.

19 Days:

Yesterday was Mother's Day so after church I got to pick where we ended up eating lunch and and picked Mellow Mushroom, of course. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed our lunch. Hayden was great, ate lots, and enjoyed the music over the speakers. She didn't really want any pictures, but I managed to get a couple.

I was asking Hayden to be still and smile at Daddy so we could get a good Mother's Day photo, as soon as I got those words out of my mouth she took off and when I tried to get her settled in the car, she pitched a royal fit unlike any I have ever seen. I settled her down very quickly by telling her I would sit in the backseat with her and watch Mickey Mouse on the way home if she would just stop screaming - HA - nothing like bribery right?

18 Days until Hayden turns 2:

Today we played so hard when I got home from work that by the time we came in to eat dinner, Hayden was done wearing clothes - she wanted them off. So we ate a good meal in nothing but our diaper. Good thing, turns out Hayden likes her pizza just like Momma, dipped in Ranch!

Have you Noticed Anything?

Just wondering if you have noticed a trend in our daily pictures lately? Almost all of them are outside! Hayden is truly an outdoors kinda girl. As soon as she wakes up she wants to go outside, she doesn't even want to stop to eat. Oh boy, I can almost feel the long, hot, days of summer now!

24 Days until Hayden turns 2 and we are outside looking for rain puddles after a good rain, Hayden insisted on wearing on rain boots :)

And yes I know the time is getting near for us to give up our "pap-pap", but I just can't bring myself to even think about that right now. I just love little ones with pacis in their mouth - too cute in my opinion.

Yesterday marked 23 days until Hayden turns 2 and we were outside again. Only this time we were out back annoying and chasing Maggie all over the yard.

Hayden just loves giving Maggie all of her toys and then taking them away, poor Maggie!

PS - see Lori I told you we have lots of "play" clothes. We aren't always dressed up!

Band-aids and Boo Boos

25 Days until Hayden is 2

Yesterday's picture is Hayden in bed fixing her band-aids and saying Mommy boo boo I fell down. Sweet girl!

I sure do love this little girl!
